Despite the many rumours, 30-year-old goalkeeper Samir Handanovic seems intended to remain at Inter Milan: interviewed by Tele Radio Stereo, Federico Pastorello, agent of the Slovenia international, has confirmed such possibility and has added that his client will extend his deal with the nerazzurri in the next weeks: according to the Corriere dello Sport, the former Udinese player will sign in the next days, while La Gazzetta dello Sport thinks that Handanovic will put pen to paper on his new deal at the beginning of September. The Lombard club is also seeking a backup for their forward Mauro Icardi, and, after failing the attempt for Estudiantes 24-year-old Guido Carrillo, is ready to swoop on Torino 31-year-old Fabio Quagliarella; on the other hand, Manchester City 25-year-old Stevan Jovetic could be an alternative to both Icardi and Rodrigo Palacio. Still regarding their offensive line, Inter are also thinking about Atletico Madrid 28-year-old winger Alessio Cerci, currently on loan at city rivals AC Milan, who –to let the Italy international leave- would like to obtain 29-year-old midfielder Fredy Guarin. The rossoneri are also seeking a defender, and, in addition to AS Roma 20-year-old Alessio Romagnoli, are also thinking –according to La Gazzetta dello Sport- about Zenit St. Petersburg 29-year-old Ezequiel Garay.
