Duirng an interview accorded to Sport Premium, Inter Milan second striker Stevan Jovetic has talked about his recent transfer to the nerazzurri and his current team’s performances in the Serie A:
‘Honestly, I didn’t expect to be in the first place, even because some time is usually needed when there are a lot of new players. Now we are there, and we want to keep on doing well. Juve remain in any case the favorite team, then there are Roma, Napoli and Fiorentina’
Regarding his relation with his team’s boss Roberto Mancini, the 26-year-old said: ‘He wanted me when he was at Manchester City, but it didn’t happen. Evidently, it was written in the stars, and here at Inter we are both happy. His task is not easy, as he has to deal with lots of new players”
Regarding the possibility to join Juventus during the last transfer market, he outlined: “The truth is that Juve wanted me, and they have talked many times with my agent, but Inter showed a more concrete interest. In any case I want to make one thing clear: when I was at Fiorentina, somebody reported that I said ‘Good-bye Florence, I’m joining Juve’.. Well, I never said anything like that” he added “I had 5 great years at Fiorentina, I could never say something like that! I am attached to Florence, it’s my second home after Podgorica! For the viola I scored my most beautiful goals, to Sporting and to Inter indeed!”
