Ibra on plans to build a statue in his honour in Stockholm; "It's unreal, I'm not dead yet!"

A statue of legendary Swedish striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic will be erected at the national stadium in Stockholm. Gazzetta.it reports that when the 35-year-old was made aware of the project at the Friends Arena, he stated that; “It seems unreal, usually recognition like this only happens when you are dead but I’m very much alive! When I die however, this statue will live forever”.

Never short on confidence, the big Swede has won major honours in every country that he’s played in but his latest challenge at Manchester United is proving difficult and that excellent record is in danger of coming to an end. There has even been talk that he will leave Old Trafford in summer and head out to the MLS. These reports have been quashed by coach Jose Mourinho, who confirmed ahead of tonight’s Europa League tie against Feyenoord, that the club will activate a clause that will keep him at the club until 2018.
