How new Inter boss Stefano Pioli could change Stevan Jovetic’s destiny
Jovetic was close to joining Fiorentina on loan last summer but the deal eventually collapsed as LaViola were not open to pay the entire wages of the player. Jovetic had reduced game time under old Inter manager Frank De Boer but Stefano Pioli is an admirer of the Montenegro International and could decide to give him one last chance instead of selling him in the January window.
Jovetic’s transfer talks have been put on hold as Inter want Pioli to keep a close eye on the player and take a decision on his future before the winter transfer window opens. The Italian tactician could decide to play Jovetic as attacking midfielder or winger to give him a fresh start with the Meazza outfit.
There are, however, still many clubs interested in signing the former Manchester City star. Fiorentina are still keeping tabs on the 27-year-old striker and former Inter boss Andrea Stramaccioni would welcome Jovetic with open arms at Panatinaikos.
