Hernanes, Genoa pressing but there is a problem
Juventus midfielder Hernanes continues to be the centre of attention ahead of the January transfer window. The 31-year-old Brazilian has already rejected offers from China, Turkey and Germany but now a proposal much closer to home may finally see him leave Turin in the new year.
Genoa executives are currently studying the possibility of taking the player known as “The Prophet” on-loan in January but the problem at the moment is the players wage demands. The rossoblu, aware that they cannot afford to take on the player’s salary on their own, are negotiating with the champions over a possible split in which they are only responsible for paying a percentage. Hernanes is under contract in Turin until 2018 and as previously stated, is in no hurry to leave the bianconeri.
Meanwhile Genoa midfielder Miguel Veloso has been linked with a possible move to Valencia but the Italian club have scoffed at any rumours that he is set to leave the club.
