Genoa considering move for Juventus outcast Hernanes
On the final day of the transfer window last summer, it seemed as though Brazilian midfielder Hernanes was set to leave Juventus and join Genoa. Of course the move never happened but according to Tuttosport, the port club may be about to rekindle their interest in the 31-year-old in January.
The player known as “Il Profeta” or the Prophet, has been the subject of much transfer speculation and has already rejected moves to the Bundesliga, Turkey and China. With a contract in Turin that is not due to expire until 2018, Hernanes has been quite happy to bide his time and in the recent absence of Claudio Marchisio, has actually been part of coach Allegri’s starting XI.
Fans at the J Stadium however, have been quick to show their disapproval at what they regard as a mercenary who is not prepared to take a cut in salary to move elsewhere by booing his every touch of the ball. Despite Allegri stating his disappointment with this kind of behaviour, he is aware that the power brokers are anxious to remove the Brazilian from the club’s wage bill.
