Alberto Gilardino is incredibly close to a switch from Fiorentina to Genoa. The Italian striker will sign a 5-year contract with the Rossoblu.

Genoa had been negotiating with Fiorentina since last summer and will reportedly sign Gila for a fee around €12M.

President Enrico Preziosi saw Amauri turning down his offer only few days ago.

According to sources close to the club, Gilardino should officially be a Genoa player within the next couple of hours.
