Garcia believes Pjanic and Manolas dispute was positive for Roma
“We want to secure a positive result tomorrow, we know our qualities”, the Frenchman told the journalists.
“Huguain has adapted to life in Serie A. Napoli’s style of play is great, they score lot of goals and Maurizio Sarri is a good manager . But from what I’ve heard in the last few days, it seems that the best team of the league will face the worst one.”
“It is not true everything is running smooth right now as it is not true either that it’s all going bad. We miss our fans in home games. Their support can give us a vital boost, but we had to do without them since the beginning of the season.”
“Gervinho and Salah are both eligible for tomorrow’s game, although they are not fit to play 90 minutes. They could both start or coming off the bench during the game.”
“Dzeko needs time, that’s normal. Sometimes it can happen to go through a period where a striker doesn’t score goals, but he doesn’t have to be worried about it. If he carries on playing for the team he’ll score again.”
Talking about Wednesday’s Champions League clash against BATE Borisov, once again Garcia showedhis satisfaction for the qualification.
“It was important to make it through the last 16. It was our target. In February you’ll see another team. There won’t be any more pressure by then and it will be like the begin of a new Champions League campaign. Now, we are waiting for Monday’s draw to see who we’ll play against.”
“We suffered against BATE on Wednesday. I also remember that we lost against Sampdoria and Inter despite playing good games. We wanted to win, we attempted to score but we know it was important not to allow any goal in the last ten minutes. We hoped that a draw would have been enough to go through.”
Garcia admitted that Kostas Manolas and Miralem Pjanic had a dispute after the last Champions League game, though he seemed not to have lost any sleep over it.
“It is a proof that the team always want to win and they are not happy when it doesn’t happen. Little tension at the end of important games is understandable and tolerable. What it is important is to have respect and they did, so much so they resolved the dispute shortly after.”
