#FrosinoneJuve: it's finally Rugani's turn!
The former Empoli starlet has only played 338 minutes in all competitions this term, but Juventus consider him a cornerstone of the club’s future, so much so they rejected all kind of approaches for their promising centre-back in January window, included a €20 million bid from Napoli.
Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri confirmed the 21-year-old can replace Bonucci in the middle of a three-men defense, even if less than a month ago he had admitted that he was only considering Rugani a back-up of Giorgio Chiellini or Andrea Barzagli.
Allegri also believes Rugani can only play as wingback in a four-men defense, a sort of ‘defensive-jolly’, just like the injured Martin Caceres.
The growth of Rugani will be important for the Old Lady to understand what step to take next in the transfer campaign as Medhi Benatia has been linked with a Stadium move next summer, while Andrea Barzagli is expected to put pen to paper on a new deal in the next few weeks.
By the way, if Rugani is going be benched also against Frosinone, speculations over his future at the Stadium would be far from being over.
