FOCUS: Juve striker Morata has a price
However, the 23-year-old remains a cornerstone of Juve’s project, and not only because he has recently extended his deal with the bianconeri: the club’s president Andrea Agnelli has in fact a great confidence in the young player.
Moreover, as outlined by calciomercato.com’s editor Nicola Balice, because of the FIFA ban, Real Madrid won’t be able to use their rebuy clause until June 2017. This doesn’t mean that he won’t move for the next 18 months. The Serie A defending champions have already refused Liverpool’s offer, because the CEO Giuseppe Marotta and the whole club consider him unsellable. Nevertheless, also Morata has a price.
As long as Morata will be a Juventus player but with an option held by Real, whoever will desire to sign him, will have to pay €80 million, and such amount will be shared by the Piedmont’s club and the blancos. If there will be a lower offer, a negotiation between them will be needed, and it will be up to the Spanish club to renounce to something.
€80 million is not too much for certain English clubs, otherwise the eventual suitors will have to wait and then negotiate just with one club.
