FOCUS Inter's regret: Verona star Bessa could leave for measly €1.2m!
Inter may come to regret allowing Daniel Bessa to leave for Verona.
As the youngster has established himself as a box-to-box midfielder in Serie B, scoring his fourth league goal against Latina recently, it appears that the Scaligeri are very likely to get to keep him for good.
The 23-year-old Brazilian’s loan automatically turning into a €1.2m transfer if he reached 18 league appearances.
Brought to Inter by famed scout Pierluigi Casiraghi (who shares a name with the former footballer) in 2008, Bessa’s professional career has seen him be loaned, with mixed results, to Vicenza, Sparta Rotterdam and Olhanense.
Picked up when he was a young futsal player, Bessa was considered a huge promise in Milan, putting in a Man of the Match performance in the 2012 NextGen semi-final against Marseille.
A former trequartista who fashioned himself on hero Wesley Sneijder, Bessa was converted into a box-to-box player in Verona, something which suits his skills perfectly.
Having helped Bologna attain promotion last season, Bessa is ready to do so with Verona… and attract the attention of some of Italy’s big hitters.
Inter, for their part, look set to regret letting him go so easily.
