Fiorentina still waiting for Mario Gomez, the German wants to rescind contract
The Portuguese tactician allowed the former Bayern Munich man to join Besiktas on a loan deal last summer, but after a prolific season in Turkey and a positive EURO 2016, Gomez wants to leave the club cancelling his contract with Fiorentina.
The Serie A side, however, don’t want to rescind the German’s contract as they’d like to cash in some € 5-7 million from his sale, after investing almost € 20 million to sign him from Bayern three years ago.
According to Corriere Fiorentino, Gomez will arrive in Florence next week when he will confirm Fiorentina chiefs that he wants to leave the club as for free. His Fiorentina contract runs until June 2017.
