FIFA: Infantino declares his love for Inter & welcomes new boss Pioli
New FIFA President Gianni Infantino has been speaking to Sky Sport about his passion for Inter. The supremo explained that; “Yes, I’ve always been an interista, those virtues you take as a child. My father was an interista who attended all the Champions League finals of the 1960’s. He took me to see them when I was a little boy and when I first entered the San Siro I was hooked”.
Speaking about the current position of the club he declared that; “For Inter this is a transitional period but the fans are accustomed to this. We have had a lot to suffer in recent years but this is what makes winning all the sweeter. I wish the new coach Pioli all the best in his new job but as President of FIFA, I must remain impartial”.
Infantino is currently studying the possibility of having Video Refereeing (VAR) in stadiums and extending the World Cup Finals to 48 countries.
