Exclusive, Inter: an offer for Conti, the return of Morosini & a challenge to Juve for Orsolini
Among the many manoeuvres by the Suning Group to re-shape Inter there will still be the strong desire to recruit top young Italian talent. Berardi has always been a target and there is also his Sassuolo teammate Acerbi. Matteo Darmian is high on the hit-list, despite Jose Mourinho’s best attempts to keep him at Old Trafford.
IN THE VIEWFINDER:
For a while now, Inter has been following Atalanta full-back Andrea Conti. Already having a great season in Bergamo, the 22-year-old is set for great things and the nerazzurri may try to book the player for next season. There looks set to be a challenge however, with the likes of Juventus and Napoli also in hot pursuit.
TALENTS FROM SERIE B:
A look towards the second-tire of Italian football may hold the biggest clues to the men Sporting Director Ausilio wants to bring to the club next season. One such player is Leonardo Morosini of Brescia who was a youth team player with Inter. Ausilio has already taken steps to try to bring him back to the nerazzurri and the 23-year-old midfielder has already stated his desire to return, but there will be a challenge from both Fiorentina and Sassuolo. Another name in the notebook is Riccardo Orsolini, the 19-year-old striker of Ascoli and someone who has already been causing interest at Juventus. Inter have not yet made an official approach for the player but this is another example of how the nerazzurri are planning for the future using home-grown talent, not expensive foreign imports.
