FC Inter fear Jovetic relapse with Montenegro
No serious injuries emerged from the medicals that Jovetic has gone through in the following days and luckily the striker will only miss his teammates travel to Marassi, where the Nerazzurri will face Walter Zenga’s Sampdoria.
There is little doubt that the 25 year old is one of the players who has had more impact in the first six Serie A matches. After his arrival from the Etihad Stadium, where he spent three ambiguous seasons, former Manchester City player scored three goals in his first two Serie A appearances, proving his crucial role to overcome Atalanta and Carpi.
The humor of Inter fans could even drop away as former Fiorentina star has received a Montenegro call up for the last two matches of his National team in the European qualifiers group stage.
Next week Montenegro will face Austria and Russia, two matches that could turn out to be vital for the Balcan National Team’s aspiration of playing UEFA Euro 2016 finals in France.
Montenegro coach Brnovic had his say about Jovetic condition: “He [Jovetic] had a medical today and we still have to decide everything. I know he wants to play and everyone knows the support that a player like him can carry out to the whole team. He is playing at his highest levels at the moment”.
A final verdict seems to be up to the player who will meet Roberto Mancini following the match against Sampdoria. The Italian club, by the way, could still decide not to allow their seasonal top scorer trip to Montenegro as after the last National team break of 2015, FC Inter will face Juventus in one of the most classical and charming Serie A showdowns.
