EXCLUSIVE ROMANO: Suning want players made in Italy: Berardi or Bernardeschi
It will be a long autumn for the new Inter. New owners The Suning Group are ready to stamp their authority on the club and after the purchases of both Joao Mario and Gabigol their next assault in the transfer market could be closer to home.
DREAMS MADE IN ITALY:
Suning have made it clear that they want to buy young, Italian players if possible and two names are at the top of the shopping list; Domenico Berardi and Federico Bernardeschi. The former was heavily linked with a move in the summer but decided to remain at Sassuolo, the latter has also been on the nerazzurri radar for some time. It’s the new owner’s idea to monitor the two over the next nine months and the one who performs best will be in pole-position to join the club next summer.
REVENUE:
With Inter under Fifa Financial Fair-Play regulations, balancing the books is difficult. With two major signings coming in during the last transfer window and very few heading for the exit, the nerazzurri need the cash boost of qualification for next season’s Champions League. Should they succeed, then things can progress along with their new revenue streams connected to shirt sales and sponsorship. Do well today and they can reap the rewards tomorrow, otherwise dreams may not become reality.
