EXCLUSIVE Romano: Juve-Saponara a possibility, but only in June
As if the arrivals of Paulo Dybala, Juan Cuadrado, Mario Mandzukic and Sami Khedira weren’t enough (and they may well not be), the Old Lady has since been in contact with PSG wantaway Ezequiel Lavezzi, who recently turned down a two-year extension with the Parisian outfit, which could have been tweaked to three. Inter are also in the hunt.
Speaking of Milanese teams, former AC Milan youth Ricardo Saponara is now in Juve’s sights, though the Turinese side won't be able to grab him just yet. Fabrizio Romano exclusively reports that, though Empoli are willing to go ahead with the deal, they have made the –year-old promise that he’ll stay till the end of the season. This deal suits Saponara almost as much as it suits the Tuscans, as he wants to be a starter and is hoping to make the plane to France 2016. Last time he moved to a big club, he ended up rotting on AC Milan’s bench.
Jurgen Klopp of Liverpool is also reportedly very enthusiastic about the former Milan prodigy, though with such a healthy following being cultivated, Empoli will surely be looking to cash in.
