CM EXCLUSIVE: Napoli to keep Inter and Tottenham target
M.G.
Finally, in last night’s Europa League game against Midtjylland, Napoli striker Manolo Gabbiadini had his chance to play. And the 23-year-old paid back his coach Maurizio Sarri with two goals. Considered one of the azzurri’s great strikes during the 2014 transfer market campaign, Gabbiadini didn’t have an easy relation with his former coach Rafa Benitez. During the last transfer window, Inter Milan made an interesting offer for the former Sampdoria player, but –even because it was the last day of the market- Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis refused it. The nerazzurri –and in particular their head coach Roberto Mancini- are not the only clubs interested in the youngster, who –as outlined by calciomercato.com’s expert Fabrizio Romano- is also on Atletico Madrid’s and Tottenham’s radar. Last night, Sarri showed that he is confident in Gabbiadini as well as his president, so that the player’s suitors are warned: he is not for sale, at least for the moment.
