EXCLUSIVE ROMANO: Between Brozovic, Matuidi &...Raiola: The strategy of Juve on the transfer market
Juve’s quest for a midfielder continues; day after day the bianconeri search for the right fit after a failed attempt to bring Nemanja Matic from Chelsea. Marotta and Paratici are more active than ever and the two names that are in the frame are Blaise Matuidi and Marcelo Brozovic. Juventus are keen not to make the same mistake they made signing Hernanes so their choice this summer needs to be right.
MATUIDI & THE RAIOLA FACTOR
Juventus are trying to exploit their optimum relationship with agent Mino Raiola to try to prize Matuidi away from PSG. The French champions do not want to sell the 29-year-old who they believe to be fundamental to their quest for Champions League glory this season. Juventus for their part, do not want to bid too highly for the player so they want to use Raiola’s experience to test the water in Paris.
BROZOVIC
Having expressed his desire to play in Turin, Marcelo Brozovic is the other name on the bianconeri hit-list. His current club Inter do not want to sell the player despite their unhappiness in his comments, so the nerazzurri have put up a strong wall of defence that Juve seem determined to breach. Juve also has other alternatives; Luis Gustavo and Rabiot have also been linked to the champions but it’s Matuyidi and Brozovic where the real interest lies.
