Exclusive - Milan's Roman Derby: Mirabelli wants to sign Dzeko and Keita
It appears that AC Milan are very interested in two strikers who will be involved in tomorrow’s Derby between Roma and Lazio.
We can exclusively reveal that director of sport Massimiliano Mirabelli will be heading down to the Olimpico tomorrow to watch Edin Dzeko and Balde’ Keita.
The Senegalese international and former Barcelona youth prodigy has begun the season very well, netting four goals and adding three assists in twelve games. Then again, Mirabelli has long been an admirer, and was lobbying Inter to sign him when he still worked there.
It’s hard to see Lazio parting with Keita this winter, but he’s there for next summer, having refused all offers for a new deal. Lazio was €25 million for him.
Edin Dzeko, for his part, is the dream at the San Siro, something Milan have never tried to hide. Mirabelli sees him as the attacker who can complete Vincenzo Montella’s team, namely because he scores and helps out, too.
Milan are set to make offers for both these stars, but will encounter stiff resistance.
