EXCLUSIVE: Juve scout three AS Monaco stars
As previously revealed, the Old Lady’s January transfer priority is a central midfielder. Joao Moutinho tops Fabio Paratici and Giuseppe Marotta’s wish-list alongside Sevilla FC’s playmaker Ever Banega.
The 29-year-old’s price-tag is believed to be in the region of € 15-20 million, but his € 4 million a year salary at the Estade Luis II cold represent a major obstacle for his Stadium move in January.
Unfortunately, there will be little chances for the Bianconeri scouts to see the Portugal International in action as Moutinho is recovering from an injury that could force him out against St. Etienne.
In case Moutinho will skip the next game, Bernardo Silva is ready to replace him as the Monegasques’ attacking midfielder.
The 21-year-old can play winger or advanced midfielder, just like Julian Draxler, a long-term Juventus target who joined Wolfsburg from Shalke 04 on the transfer deadline day last summer.
AS Monaco acquired Bernardo Silva from Benfica on a € 16 million deal last year and his current price-tag could be around € 25 million. As calciomercato.com can exclusively reveal, the Old Lady is ready to offer € 22-23 million for the Portuguese international’s services in case Juve won’t sign a central midfielder in January.
The last player that will be scouted in AS Monaco vs. Saint Etienne is the Brazilian right-back Fabinho who is considered a potential heir of Stefan Lichtsteiner in Turin. The 22-year-old is an option for the right flank as well as Sassuolo’s Sime Vrsaljko.
Fabinho costs € 15 million but Juventus could only sign him next summer as the club have already filled their quota of non-EU players.
