EXCLUSIVE Inter, Juve target Boufal 'wanted by EPL, Liga clubs', says Director
Sofiane Boufal has been one of this season’s revelations in Ligue 1. The Lille attacking midfielder has netted six goals in 20 appearances with this season, and has caught the eye both of Juventus and Inter, the latter of whom's observers are quite simply enamoured with the 22-year-old.
With Tottenham also interested in the young talent, Lille's Director, of Sport Jean-Michel Vandamme, exclusively told Calciomercato.com that “Inter and Juventus haven’t made any official offers. There’s only been contact, with agents from Italy, Germany, Spain and England also meeting with his representatives”.
“He’s worth at least 20 million, that’s the minimum. There was no way that he could leave in January, we’re not the kind of club that sells during the last window.
“It’ll be possible to sell him in June, but the Premier League has also set its sights on him. I think Italian clubs need to seal the deal as soon as possible, because they will have to deal with English competition in June”.
Vandamme also spoke about how the club discovered Boufal: “he played at Angers last season, in Ligue 2. I saw him play on a number of occasions and offered to bring him in to the owner. We paid €3.5 million for him, now he’s worth at least 20, if not more. We hope his price can keep increasing".
