EXCLUSIVE: Guarin scheduled for contract renewal talks with Inter in March
The former Porto star was a regular at the beginning of Roberto Mancini’s reign at San Siro less than one year ago, though the recent signings of Felipe Melo, Geoffrey Kondogbia and Marcelo Brozovic have reduced the Colombia International’s playing time this season.
Despite this, Guarin is still in good terms with his boss, so much so he reportedly defended Mancini during the alleged changing room raw occurred after Inter’s defeat against Lazio. Calciomercato.com can exclusively reveal that a meeting between Inter and the player’s agent Marcelo Ferreyra has been already scheduled for March 2016, though the club seem not eager to offer Guarin the same salary.
If Guarin will accept lower wages, Inter will be more than happy to extend his deal, otherwise the two sides might part ways.
