    REPORT: Juve back for Guarin

    • M.G.
In January 2014, the Colombian midfielder Freddy Guarin was about to join Juventus, as part of a swap involving the Montenegrin striker Mirko Vucinic, but finally Inter Milan president Erick Thohir has blocked the transfer.
Now, with Vucinic who doesn’t play in Italy any more, the bianconeri could swoop again on the former FC Porto man. Juve have not lost their hopes to fight for the title, as they are actually only six points behind the nerazzurri themselves, and to reinforce their midfield they are thinking about the South American player indeed.
As outlined by the Corriere dello Sport, the 29-year-old has two more years on his contract with the Lombard club and earns €2,8 million per season, an ideal situation for Juve. Moreover, he could leave for about €11 million, less than the amount needed to sign other high-rated midfielders.
