AC Milan have postponed any contract renewal negotiation to the end of the season, but something is already moving. It is the midfield that could see more changes, as four midfielders have their contract expiring soon: Van Bommel, Seedorf, Ambrosini and Pirlo. The latter is more likely to leave Milan for the following reasons:

- His salary (5 million euro per season) is outside the club's new financial limit.
- The international player is wanted both in Italy and abroad.  Roma, Chelsea, Manchester City and Barcelona - his agent, Tullio Tinti was there a few days ago - are interested in him. Despite his age, these clubs can guarantee Pirlo a salary in line with his current earnings.

Finally, if Ganso arrives, Pirlo's creativity is no more needed.
