    Dybala: "The Champions League is worth more than six scudetto"

    Last season he was the real surprise after a devastating first year with Juventus, now striker Paulo Dybala has to live up to expectations having finally got off the mark last week in the 4-0 Champions League win over Dinamo Zagreb. The 22-year-old has been speaking to La Stampa, and he explained that; “Opponents are staying tighter to me this season, trying to prevent me from getting my shots away”.
     
    When asked if he thought that strike partner Higuain’s comments that he would like the youngster to play more closely to him, Dybala replied; “He’s right but in Zagreb I felt so close to him that I had no space to work in”. He was then asked about his more mature approach to his play in Turin to which he replied; “Last season in one of my first games, I threw up my arms in disgust at a teammate who failed to give me the ball, when I got back in the dressing room my companions told me that we don’t behave like this at Juventus, perhaps they have also explained this to Higuain”.
     
    On the season’s objectives Dybala declared that; “A sixth scudetto would enter this team into the history books however the Champions League has a greater significance than the domestic championship. Are we among the favourites? If the referee has whistled 30 seconds earlier in Munich last season we would have been the favourite for the title. You cannot underestimate any team in this competition”.
