Dybala still believes in Juventus Serie A glory
The forward, who will turn 22 the next 15th of November, confirmed Juventus Scudetto ambitions, despite a slow seasonal kick off by the Italian title holders: “We are definitely aiming to win the Serie A title. I used to have different targets at Palermo, but I am playing for Juventus now and we always have to win, we still believe in the final success”.
Juventus looked reluctant to victory in the first Serie A showdowns, having caught up only five points in the first six matches. Ten less than ACF Fiorentina and FC Inter, which are sharing the Serie A leadership. The Champions League path, by the way, has given the Allegri side far more pleasure than the domestic one, as the Bianconeri defeated both Manchester City and Seville in the first two matches of the group stage. Despite this, Dybala has noticed no difference between the Serie A and Champions League matches played so far: “The only difference is that Champions League teams have a more offensive mentality and so there are is more space to play. Each club want to impose its mentality and rhythm.”
One of the most promising things observed in the last Champions League effort has been the natural understanding between him and his attacking partner, Alvaro Morata, whose influence is helping the young Argentinean’s growth at the Juventus Stadium: “There is a good relationship between us. Last summer he sent me a text saying that he was happy I was coming to Juve. We are young and we still need to grow. Alvaro [Morata], by the way, has played already for Real Madrid and he has won a lot. I guess I will need a bit more time than him.”
The summer transfer market has deeply changed the Bianconeri’s roster. Top players like Andrea Pirlo, Carlos Tevez and Arturo Vidal have all left Turin, making space to both emergent stars (Paulo Dybala , Andrea Rugani and Alex Sandro) and experienced players (Mario Mandzukic, Sami Khedira, Juan Cuadrado). Anyway, if Juventus’ shape has changed fast, the club’s lust remains unaltered.
