DS of Mönchengladbach; "No offer for Dahoud, we are looking to renew his contract"
“There has been no offer for Mahmoud Dahoud. The player has another year on his contract with us and therefore, all the transfer talk is just that of journalists”. These are the words of Borussia Mönchengladbach Sporting Director Max Eberl, who has been speaking to German magazine Kicker.
He continued by explaining that; “We want to renew his contract and although there is nothing concrete at the moment, the discussions will continue”. This will come as a major blow to both Juventus and Liverpool, who are both lining up January moves for the 20-year-old German midfielder.
Recent reports stated that the Premier League side were in pole-position to bring the Syrian born youngster to England but the Italian press contradicted these reports, stating that the Serie A champions were in the box seat. Dahoud has a bright future ahead of him and has recently broke into Joachim Low’s senior German squad.
