Juve prodigy could make Serie A debut this weekend, Arsenal and City in the hunt

This weekend could finally be it, the moment when Juventus sensation Moise Kean finally gets his Serie A debut.

The 16-year-old prodigy has attracted interest from all over Europe, especially from Premier League clubs like Arsenal and Manchester City.

Though it is up the club to not burn its young talents too soon, reports are coming from Sky Sport Italia (via calciomercatoweb.it) that the youngster could get his chance against Pescara this weekend.

The idea is that, with star striker Paulo Dybala out, Gonzalo Higuain tired and Marko Pjaca still injured, the Bianconeri are short of options up front… and that Mario Mandzukic will need support in the forward line. Coach Allegri thinks that resting Higuain for a game will help, and that Pescara are soft enough to allow Kean an easy transition into professional football.

This could also help move the contract situation: being a minor, Kean has yet to sign a professional deal with Juventus, who don’t want to pay him the increased amounts asked for by agent Mino Raiola.

Then again, the Bianconeri want to hold on to their guy, who has shined on the international level with Italy’s junior teams.

Were Kean to play, Raiola will insist again on a five-year, 1 million a season deal.

Turns out that there’s a lot at stake even against minnows like Pescara…
