After seeing his team beaten at home by Cagliari, Inter coach Frank de Boer spoke to Premium Sport and he explained that; “After we scored we forgot how to play. It should have been easy because our opponent presses us and leaves spaces to exploit but we forgot what to do”.
 

On the problems between striker Mauro Icardi and a section of the fans de Boer stated that; “I’m not sure how much the criticism affected him today. He is usually so calm so for him to miss the penalty is very strange. He did well early on in the match but I don’t want to speak too much about his situation out of respect to him and the fans. We will try to find a solution”.  

Asked if this was the most difficult time for him as a manager, the Dutchman replied; “Yes for sure; I did not to lose today. We got ourselves in front and stopped and with all due respect to Cagliari, this is a match Inter should have won”.
