Outlining Lazio's summer revolution: Candreva, Biglia, Anderson out, Mihajlovic in?
Recent reports have manager Stefano Pioli walking the plank as early as this weekend if things take a further turn for the worse this weekend. Ironically, Milan's under-fire gaffer, Sinisa Mihajlovic, could be set to take over. His situation at Milan is far from rosy, and it currently looks like owner Silvio Berlusconi will look elsewhere come May.
This would free up the Serbian to take over at his old club, which he represented 126 in Serie A from 1998 to 2004, scoring an astonishing 20 times. Mihajlovic's family still lives in Rome, and the rumour mill linking him to the Aquile has heated up significantly in recent times.
If Pioli were to be torpedoed, Simone Inzaghi is set to emulate his brother and make the leap from the Primavera. The other option to Mihajlovic is Ivan Juric, the man who has taken Crotone to the top of Serie B.
And that's not the only thing Lazio want to revolutionise.
Both Lucas Biglia and Antonio Candreva have been linked with moves both overseas, and towards rival Serie A clubs, with Milan a recent suitor for the Azzurro's services. Beyond that, the club will have to decide what to do with Felipe Anderson and young Keita Balde Diao, and whether to build around them... or sell them on for a profit.
Lazio also have the likes of Miroslav Klose, Stefano Mauri, Abdoulaye Konko and Edson Braafheid nearing the end of their deals. They could be replaced by Lorenzo Tonelli of Empoli... and Ciro Immobile, as he's only on loan to Torino.
Alessandro Matri and the oft-injured Filip Djordjevic look to be on the way out, too.
In goal, Etrit Berisha looks set to leave, so Croatian talent Vargic is set to become Federico Marchetti's Number 2.
