Giovinco: the Serie A top scorer who is not useful to Juve
Let's be controversial: Juventus don't need Sebastian Giovinco or rather this Juventus don't need this Giovinco.
The "Atomic Ant", is a top striker with 5 goals in 5 matches and keeps his Parma afloat in the middle of the stands. Everybody says: have you seen Giovinco? Wouldn't he be good for Juventus? Isn't he better than Elia or Giaccherini, or Quagliarella or Del Piero?
In our view, the answer is no for two reasons: the first, Antonio Conte's game doesn't have fixed first liners a part from (maybe) Buffon and Pirlo. Everybody is useful but no one is indispensable, a rule accepted by the team. The second reason, is Giovinco himself, when he said: "I want to play in a team as a first liner with continuity. This is not possible at Juventus, therefore I prefer Parma".
However, Conte admires him and has done so publicly. Perhaps there will be space for Giovinco in the Juventus of the future.
