Juventus: Conte is man of the moment, but...
A great coach, warrior, and motivator on the bench as he was on the pitch. Antonio Conte is man of the moment at Juventus, the symbol of rebirth, the man chosen by Agnelli to get back to winning. They say that since he's been there, everything changed, and not only at a tactical level. From day one he had carte blanche. The new Juve was built according to his market will, without great champions but with functional players, and moulded according to his beliefs. Who has seen him up close or had the opportunity to work with him, describes him as a meticulous coach, who takes care of every detail, accurate orders, demanding with the players. He plays who works better, a sound principle of meritocracy.
But there are also aspects of his character that perhaps Antonio Conte should improve. His former president Mezzaroma confessed that he does not easily welcome anyone who says to him "you were wrong," and his former director at Bari and Siena Perinetti said "sometimes he is too impulsive." Conte likes to have everything in his hands and he wants to make decisions, which is why, perhaps, a good part of last season's transfer market was rejected. His qualities cannot be denied, but as always, on the field, the results count. Capello had a similar character. But he made history.
