Conte calls-up Bonaventura after Insigne bail out
The AC Milan midfielder will hope to make his European qualified debut, having only played two previous friendlies with the Azzurri shirt.
The recent San Siro team shape has been poor, to say the least. Despite this, former Atalanta has always been among Milan best players in this term. Also last year under Pippo Inzaghi he proved to be one of the most affordable players for the Diavoli.
Since his move from the Atleti Azzurri d’Italia in 2014, the 26 year old rack up 42 appearances with the Rossoneri shirt, netting nine goals and seven assists.
As we also reported, Insigne suffered from a minor knee injury that forced him out from yesterday evening training session at Coverciano, Italy’s training ground.
Head of Italy medical staff, Doctor Enrico Castellacci told the press that the 24 year old injury is due to the hits received by the player in the previous Serie A matches with Napoli. The player’s recovering time has still not been disclosed.
Insigne bail out follow a previous one from Sassuolo winger Domenico Berardi, who also turned his first senior Italy call-up down, due to an injury.
Conte’s hopes are to get luckier during the next two games against Azerbaijan and Norway.
