CM scouting: Alessandro Plizzari, the new Donnarumma
Inter beat AC Milan 2-0 yesterday in a Primavera league game and even if the rossoneri can’t be happy with yesterday’s result, they can be cheerful indeed for the discovery of a new talent: Alessandro Plizzari.
The 16-year-old goalkeeper entered the pitch in the 54th minute after senior goalie Alessandro Livieri had been sent off amid controversies. A few minutes later Plizzari deflected Zonta’s shot over the bar, before completing further two key saves to deny Zonta again and Rey Manaj who had made an attempt each from inside the penalty area.
A last gasp goal scored by Andrea Pinamonti secured Inter’s win and qualification to the final eight, but the young AC Milan shot-stopper claimed a starring role in the Primavera Milan derby.
AC Milan CEO Adriano Galliani was watching the game from the stands and praised the young shot-stopper after the final whistle: “He’s great. I was telling Alfredo Magni [AC Milan’s goalkeeper coach] that he’s doing an amazing job.”
Oddly enough, also Gianluigi Donnarumma was spotted on the stands yesterday. Donnarumma is only one year younger that Plizzari, though he has already gained the senior and starter status at the San Siro. Plizzari, however, want to be the ‘next Donnarumma’ to defend AC Milan’s senior team goal.
