CM EXCLUSIVE: Boateng set to re-join Milan
The former Ghana International dug himself into a hole last May, as he was indefinitely suspended from his former team Schalke 04 because he “failed to show greater commitment” alongside team-mate Sidney Sam.
Following his exclusion, Boateng has joined AC Milan, not as a senior team player, but only to train and stay in shape, waiting to receive an offer from another club.
According to Fabrizio Romano , the 28-year-old is reaping the rewards of his efforts under the careful watch of Sinisa Mihajlovic. Boa has shown a lot of in the Rossoneri’s midweek friendlies, included yesterday’s derby against Inter.
The former Portsmouth and Tottenham midfielder has impressed the Serbian manager both during games and training sessions, and Milan’s CEO Adriano Galliani has never denied the possibility of his comeback at the club.
Boa is seemingly eager to sign with a new club as soon as possible, and if he’ll show the same modesty, hunger and commitment that he has displayed in the last month, the club could give him a new chance by offering him a six-month deal, and add a renewal clause linked to the player’s performance.
Boateng, whose brother Jerome is playing for Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich, blazed a trail during his three year spell at San Siro as he plundered 17 goals and registered 16 assists in 100 games with the Rossoneri shirt.
