Chelsea, Villas Boas: Drogba stays
Didier Drogba is a dream for the Rossoneri fans which may as well vanish in the next few weeks. Chelsea boss André Villas Boas is confident the Ivorian striker will renew his contract with the Blues.
“Didier will sign a new contract with us, I am sure,” said the Portuguese coach. So the 33-year-old would turn down remunerative offers from Milan and Anzhi to stay at Stamford Bridge. The Russian were ready to pay him 15M Euros in order to have him next to Samuel Eto’o in their starting formation.
Meanwhile, the Rossoneri have put their eyes on Tottenham starlet Sandro. The player has been sidelined lately and since Scott Parker has been shining, Sandro can no longer be regarded as a regular.
Milan need new signings to replace ageing Mark van Bommel, Clarence Seedord and Gennaro Gattuso. But Tottenham spent 15M for Sandro and won’t settle for anything less than that.
