Chelsea, Man Utd target Manolas unhappy at Roma as contract talks stall

Kostas Manolas is not happy at AS Roma anymore, a host of Italian papers are reporting, including La Gazzetta dello Sport and Il Messaggero. The Greek International who is believed a top summer target of both Chelsea and Manchester United has informed the club that he’s not going to accept their offer to extend his stay at the club for a salary of just € 2 million a year.

Manolas did not train yesterday due to a low back pain which should have also forced him to skip the giallorossi friendly against Terek.

Spalletti eventually convinced the 25-year-centre back to play the game, but it is quite clear that now that contract talks have stalled, Manolas has no incentives in staying at AS Roma, though the club is trying to solve his situation in the quickest way possible.
