Talking to the Italian newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport, Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed his decision of taking a sabbatical as he will seek for a new job from the next year.

“I will make my comeback only in the next season. I am thinking mostly about a job outside Italy, especially in Premier League.”

Despite this, the former Chelsea boss has not showed a total reluctance over managing a Serie A club.

“If I had to comeback in Italy, I’d only train Milan or Rome,” he told the Italian media.

During his playing career Ancelotti has joined the Giallorossi in 1979, before moving to AC Milan in 1987. He played 112 games with the Rossoneri, hanging up his boots in 1992.

As a manager, Ancelotti has been in charge of AC Milan from 2001 until 2009, enhancing the club’s showcase with one Scudetto, one Italian SuperCup, one Coppa Italia, two Champions Leagues, two UEFA Super Cups and a FIFA World Cup Cup.
