BREAKING: Alisson a few signatures away from becoming a Roma player
"Alisson is very excited" Ze Maria told ForzaRoma.info, "many clubs have asked about him, but we've chosen Roma.
"We have an agreement, we're just waiting for the signatures".
This is a story we've been talking about for a long while, with the Giallorossi always leading the charge for the 23-year-old.
With Alisson coming from Rio Grande de Sul, a state known for its Italo-German roots (he comes from Novo Hamburgo, "New Hamburg"), his agent has also revealed that they've "already begun the procedures to obtain either an Italian or a German passport".
Alisson's surname, Becker, should come in handy for Roma, who will want to avoid filling up their non-EU quota.
It'll be interesting to see what this means for rival claimants Wojciech Szczesny and Morgan De Sanctis. Though the second looks to be on his way out, the Arsenal loanee has constantly stated his wish to remain at the Olimpico.
