Bonucci, Zabaleta, Toure': which players are Juventus and Man City set to swap?
Juventus and Manchester City’s paths are set to cross again in January, it seems.
The Premier League contenders are known to be ferventadmirers of Leonardo Bonucci, with Coach Pep Guardiola admitting that the Italy international is his favourite centre-back.
Juventus, for their part, have been linked to a number of Manchester City players of late. with the likes of Willy Caballero, Gael Clichy, Pablo Zabaleta, Yaya Toure’, Jesus Navas and Fernandinho all risking the chop. Of this seven set to be phased out, however, which ones truly interest the Serie A champions?
A recent Sun report (via MNE Sport) had Juve chasing Bacary Sagna, Clichy and Zabaleta. According to what we know, only the latter is to be considered a target as of now.
Talksport claimed not so long ago that Juventus, who still need a reliable right-back, could launch a January bid for the ageing Argentine. The other trails are, for their part, going cold, with Toure’ considered to be too old.
Fernandinho himself isn’t going through the best of patches, having been suspended for three games by the FA after a scuffle with Cesc Fabregas at the weekend.
