Latest: Bacca set to skip Roma game, Bonaventura will return
It looks like Carlos Bacca will skip Monday’s big game with AS Roma, according to our sources.
The Colombian hurt his right thigh in the Milan Derby last month, still managing to contribute an assist to Spanish winger Suso.
Set to miss the subsequent Empoli and Crotone games, the Colombian has now gone missing, and hasn’t even trained with his team-mates of late, according to the Gazzetta dello Sport.
The Pink Paper confirms that the 29-year-old wasn’t supposed to this early in the week anyway, and that he’s still following a separate fitness regime. But how long will it last?
Oddly enough, two players who were injured after Bacca, Mati Fernandez and Giacomo Bonaventura, are likely to start Monday’s trip to the Olimpico.
Both went down to muscular injuries in the Empoli game over a week ago, but look set to be available to Coach Vincenzo Montella.
Bacca’s situation isn’t the rosiest, the former Sevilla man not scoring since early October.
