Between League Presidency and Real Madrid: which future for Adriano Galliani?
Galliani has two options now: the first one is the league’s presidency, role that he has already covered between 2002 and 2006.
Many Serie A presidents would be open to elect Galliani as league’s president once again. Juventus’ number one Andrea Agnelli, by instance, backs Galliani for the role as they share the same vision on the future of the league.
Serie A needs to be open to new markets and need to adopt new rules in terms of TV rights and stadiums. A return as league’s president is the most likely option for Galliani’s future even if Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has recently made contact with the Italian football chief offering him an important role in the Merengues’ control room.
Former AC Milan director of sport Ariedo Braida also switched Italy with Spain in February 2015 when he was appointed as Barcelona’s international director of sport.
