    Italy, Bernardeschi: 'We are a good mix of veterans and youngsters'

    During today’s press conference, Italy attacking midfielder Federico Bernardeschi said: “I’m the youngest of this group, I am proud to be able to play with all this champions. I prefer to play on the right flank and I dream of being an attacking midfielder”.
     
    “I am one of the outsiders of the squad list”, the Fiorentina man added. “I will do my best. We are not here just to participate. I learnt from my father that you always have to ask more from yourself. I tell the young players that they must work hard, talent alone is not enough”.
     
    “Shevchenko was my idol, but I have no models. The number 10 to Motta? I agree”, he said, “he deserves for what he has done in his career. I think that we are a good mix of veterans and youngsters”.
