Berlusconi to remain as honorary president after Milan sale
The China Economic Weekly was able to contact Li Yonghong the day after the Diavolo’s 3-2 Opening day win over Torino. Though Li confirmed that he would only grant interviews in September, he confirmed that the two sides signed a preliminary agreement in August in order to end media speculation about Milan.
What do we know? For one, when the two sides agree to the deal, Silvio Berlusconi will remain as an honorary president, though the board’s composition will be changed.
Director general Marco Fassone, formerly of Juve and Inter, will get to choose a new director of sport.
We should get more information midway through September.
