Barcelona to challenge Juve for Gabriel Jesus
Barcelona are getting serious about Gabriel Jesus, the 19-year-old Brazilian striker currently at Palmeiras. The youngster is also on the radar of Juventus but according to Sport.es, the Catalan giants are in pole-position to take the player who they believe can develop with the help of Messi, Suarez and Neymar. The portal also states that his current club do not want to release him to a European side until after the Rio Olympics in August, as they believe his value may increase after the Games. His current value is around €30 million.
Barca’s interest in Gabriel Jesus is just another chapter in their seemingly endless battle with Juventus in the summer transfer window; Dani Alves will soon be heading to Turin and the bianconeri have still not given up hope of signing his teammate Javier Mascherano who has a €100 million clause in his current contract that runs until 2018.
