Luis Suarez set for new Barcelona contract
Talking to media after receiving the Golden Boot award, the Uruguayan striker has confirmed that an agreement with the club over a new deal is very close.
“We’ve been in talks for very long time and we have finally reached a total agreement.”
“I am going to sign a new long-time contract.”
Suarez’s current Barcelona deal runs until 2019. Barcelona have just announced the contract extension of his teammate Neymar who has signed a new contract expiring in 2021.
Suarez joined Barcelona from Liverpool in a € 80 million deal in 2014 and has been impressing with the Nou Camp outfit having scored 93 goals in 108 games with the blaugrana.
