Barca need €40m to bring Pjanic to the Nou Camp
Having learned from the best at Lyon, the Bosnian has obviously learned from Juninho Pernambucano’s free-kick expertise, scoring four this season, including a key one in a 2-1 win over Juventus In Serie A action.
Having recently added a crucial penalty against Bayer Leverkusen ten minutes from time, Pjanic thought he’d done enough to ensure victory against Bologna with another spot kick, only for former team-mate Mattia Destro to dash those hopes with a penalty of his own three minutes from time.
Now travelling to Barcelona for Roma’s Champions League Matchday 5 clash with Barcelona, who just so happen to be interested in the Bosnian as a possible successor to Xavi, off jet setting in Qatar.
The 25-year-old Roma talisman earns 4 million a year, his contract only expires in 2018, and would cost €40 million. Having already served under Luis Enrique in the latter's ill-fated experience in the Italian capital, the Bosnian is very much appreciated by his former coach.
