Atalanta sensation Petagna: 'nearly quit football because of Milan'
Loaned to four different clubs in his time at Milanello, the Trieste-born striker was finally sold to Atalanta last summer.
"Milan decided not to take me to training camp two years ago" he said in a press conference with the Italian Under-21 team, "It hurt me so much I even considered giving up on football".
Petagna has had a heck of a season so far, netting three Serie A goals in four appearances, including the winner against Napoli at the weekend.
"I only had an offer from Ascoli, who were hoping to be reinserted into Serie B, I had no certainty about my future".
