Arsenal-Wigan e Reading-Manchester City sono stati i due posticipi della 37.a giornata della Premier League inglese. La prima sfida era fondamentale sia in chiave Champions League che retrocessione: l'Arsenal aveva bisogno assoluto di punti per scavalcare in classifica il Tottenham e impossessarsi nuovamente del quarto posto, mentre il Wigan è al momento terzultimo e quindi, virtualmente, retrocesso.
La sfida tra Reading e Manchester City, invece, era priva d'importanza, visto che i padroni di casa sono già retrocessi e i Citizens, che hanno esonerato ieri Roberto Mancini, secondi.
